Chart 11.1 is a bar chart showing final energy demand by province and the three territories as a group for 2009 and 2010. Final energy demand is the sum of energy use by mining, manufacturing, forestry, construction, transportation, agriculture, residential, public administration, and commercial and other institutional sectors.

Data for 2009 are revised. The territories comprise Yukon, the Northwest Territories and Nunavut.

In 2010, Ontario had the highest demand, 2,421 petajoules, followed by Quebec, 1,534 petajoules.

The territories combined had the lowest demand, 24 petajoules, followed by Prince Edward Island, 25 petajoules.
