The title of the graph is “Adjusted recent immigrant–stayer differences in life satisfaction, by source-country gross domestic product (GDP) per capita

This is a scatter plot.

The vertical axis is the difference in mean life satisfaction scores between recent immigrants and their source-country populations.

The horizontal axis is the log GDP per capita based on purchasing power parity of source countries.

Description: The difference in mean life satisfaction scores is derived from Statistics Canada’s General Social Survey, 2008 to 2011, the Canadian Community Health Survey, 2009 to 2011, and the World Values Survey, Waves 3 to 5. Log GDP values are based on World Bank data. The results represent 43 source countries. The chart shows that the difference in life satisfaction between immigrant groups and their source-country population is negatively associated with log GDP per capita of source countries.
