The title of this map is Pressure on the Thousand Islands National Park: Area treated with insecticide, 1981 and 2011. It consists of two maps: one for 1981 and one for 2011. On this map, the darker the colour, the greater the number of hectares of area treated with insecticide for the census consolidated subdivisions (CCS). Category 1 is coloured dark red and represents a number more than or equal to 2,500 hectares; it comprises 1 CCS in 1981 and 3 in 2011. Category 2 is coloured medium red and represents a number from 1,200 to less than 2,500 hectares; it comprises 3 CCS in 1981 and 6 in 2011. Category 3 is coloured salmon and represents a number from 600 to less than 1,200 hectares; it comprises 4 CCS in 1981 and 9 in 2011. Category 4 is coloured pink and represents a number from 200 to less than 600 hectares; it comprises 10 CCS in 1981 and 6 in 2011. Category 5 is coloured pale pink and represents a number less than 200 hectares; it comprises 39 CCS in 1981 and 15 in 2011. Category 6 is coloured pale grey and indicates that data is not available; it comprises 18 CCS in 2011. The boundaries between the CCS are indicated with thin black lines. Water is coloured pale blue. Land areas outside of Canada are coloured pale grey. The international boundary is indicated with a thick grey line.
