Note: Water use by the electric power generation, transmission and distribution industry does not include water use for hydro-electric power generation. The category personal expenditure includes direct household water use in addition to the industrial amounts required to satisfy household demand for goods and services. Final demand results are derived from a hybrid input-output model that combines physical data by industry with economic data on production and consumption of goods and services.
