Estimates for all three years are calculated
for a target population defined as drinking water plants serving a population
of 300 or more persons in 2007.
Data do not include costs associated with the
distribution of treated water (see page 7 of the questionnaire).
Plants were assigned to a category based on
the reported treatment processes in section 4 of the questionnaire.
Refer to Appendix I for the main processes applied in each treatment category.
Excludes Nunavut due to low response.
