  1. Aircraft take-offs and landings at Canadian airports with NAV CANADA air traffic control towers and flight service stations decreased (-6.2%) in April 2009 compared with April 2008. These 93 airports reported 520,716 movements in April 2009 compared with 554,885 movements at 95 airports in April 2008.
  2. Itinerant movements (flights from one airport to another) fell 5.3% (-19,626 movements) in April 2009 compared with the same month a year earlier.
  3. Local movements (flights that remain in the vicinity of the airport) declined by 7.9% (-14,543 movements) in April 2009 over the previous year.
