In 1998, 1999, and every second year thereafter starting with 2001, statistics for Canada include the territories. For the other years, Canada-level statistics include the 10 provinces only.
Note(s):
Beginning with 2006, the reference date for household composition, tenure, dwelling characteristics and household equipment are as of the time of the interview instead of December 31st of the reference year. The distinction between full-year and part-year members and households has been removed. Due to unreliability of the data which was the result of low sample size, the data for Québec, Ottawa and Victoria for 2008 were suppressed.
