Postcensal estimates of population by CD and CMA

The preliminary postcensal estimates of population by age and sex for Census Divisions (CDs) and Census Metropolitan Areas (CMAs) as of July 1, 2000, as well as the updated estimates as of July 1, 1998 and 1999, are now available.


Population projections, 2000 to 2026

Population projections for Canada, provinces and territories by age and sex for 2000 to 2026 are now available on a cost-recovery basis.


Population of businesses with employees, Third quarter 2000

Statistics Canada's Business Register Division is re-establishing the longstanding payroll deduction series, which produces a quarterly estimate of the number of businesses that have employees.


Home repairs and renovations, 1999

Homeowners spent an average of $1,810 repairing or renovating their homes in 1999, an amount not significantly different from 1998, and still below the level of spending of the early 1990s. The 1999 Homeowner Repair and Renovation Survey collected information in March 2000 from a sample of more than 20,000 homeowners about expenditures made in 1999 on repairs and renovations to their homes.


Longitudinal administrative databank, 1982 to 1998

Data for 1998 have been added to the Longitudinal Administrative Databank (LAD). This databank now spans 17 years, from 1982 to 1998, and contains information about individuals and census families.


Understanding measurements of farm income, 2000

The bulletin Understanding measurements of farm income, a manual for users of farm income statistics, is now available. It is published jointly by Statistics Canada and Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.


Survey of Approaches to Educational Planning, 1999

Data from the 1999 Survey of Approaches to Educational Planning are now available for special tabulations. The survey data assesses the means by which parents plan and prepare for the postsecondary education of their children.


Environment industry: Business sector. 1998 (final)

Businesses comprising Canada's environment industry derived $14.3 billion from activities directly related to the environment in 1998, accounting for 58% of their total revenues.


RRSP contribution limits, 2000

Data for RRSP contribution limits (also called RRSP room) are now available. Based on 1999 tax returns filed in the spring of 2000, this databank provides information on the RRSP contribution limit available to individuals for the 2000 tax year.


Annual Survey of Manufactures, 1998

The Annual Survey of Manufactures has adopted the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) for its 1998 reference year. Previous years' data have been re-aggregated to the new classification system back to 1990.
