Who's missing out on the GIS?

The Guaranteed Income Supplement is one of the pillars of Canadas safety net for seniors. Available to those with little or no income other than Old Age Security, it plays an integral part in reducing low income among those 65 and over. However, a misunderstanding of the rules and requirements has meant that some eligible seniors are missing out.
