abscid -- Absence identifier
- Type and length: Numeric(2)
- Description: Unique identifier for an absence from a job or employment spell with an employer. Paid vacation is not considered an absence. The same absence spell that crosses over two reference years should retain the same "abscid". Two distinct absence spells within the same employment spell would each have a distinct "abscid". Two concurrent absences with different employers would each have a distinct "abscid".
- Population: Persons aged 16-69 AND had a job during the survey ref. period AND paid worker for that job AND not on-call schedule AND absent for 1 week or longer excl. paid vacation.
