Recent survey results find that Canadian students performed very well
internationally in mathematics. Students in all provinces performed at
or above the international average in math. In fact, students in three
provinces - Alberta, Quebec and British Columbia - ranked among the
best in the world.
In 2002, 4.8 million adult workers participated in formal, job-related training.
However, some groups are at a clear disadvantage when it comes to acquiring new
job skills. This is especially the case for those with the least amount of formal education.
