1. Age distributions as of September 30th (or as close as possible thereafter) in the school year of full-time and part-time educators in public elementary and secondary schools based on data from the Elementary-Secondary Education Statistics Project. Unknown ages excluded.
2. Based on a monthly average from September to August, Labour Force Survey.
3. Data at the Canada level exclude the territories. Detailed data by age are not available for the educator data for the territories. This labour force data also excludes the territories.
4. Data for Nova Scotia combine full-time and part-time educators.
Notes: Due to the nature of ESESP data collection, these data are updated on an ongoing basis and are therefore subject to further revisions.
These data are for public schools only and do not include private schools and federal schools.
Figures may not add up to 100% due to rounding.
For a brief description of this indicator, including the methodology, please see the Handbook for the Pan-Canadian Education Indicators Program.
