What's new in this issueHealth region level data that reflect the latest boundaries and names in effect as of June 2005 are now available. New regional entities were created in Ontario and Newfoundland as well as revised regional boundaries for Calgary and David Thompson health regions. Geographic changes (including new maps) are summarized in the Health regions section. The Ambulatory Care Sensitive Conditions (ACSC) indicator has been redeveloped so that it better reflects those health conditions that can be effectively managed in the community, thereby preventing or reducing admissions to hospital.
