Description of project

The purposes of this study were: a) to develop the appropriate methodology for linkage of the Indian register to mortality data; b) to determine the cost of a full study; and c) to estimate the level of accuracy for ascertainment of deaths. A pilot study was first completed to test the procedures using data for 1981.
