Life expectancy at birth, by sex, neighbourhood income quintiles, 2005–2007

This is a vertical bar graph that illustrates the life expectancy at birth by sex and income quintile.

The Y axis is measured by age by increments of two from 70 up to 86.

The X axis lists the 5 income quintile groups as Q1-Lowest, Q2, Q3-Middle, Q4 and Q5-Highest.

The life expectancy for the lowest income quintile is 75.6 years for males and 81.7 for females.

The life expectancy for the second income quintile is 77.8 years for males and 83 for females.

The life expectancy for the third or middle income quintile is 78.7 years for males and 83.3 for females.

The life expectancy for the forth income quintile is 79.1 years for males and 83.3 for females.

The life expectancy for the highest income quintile is 80.3 years for males and 84 for females.

An upward trend is noticeable; as the income quintiles increase, so does the life expectancy, this trend is more noticeable for males than females.
