This is a stacked line chart showing the percentages of men and women aged 12 or older and population aged 16 to 17 and 18 to 19, who smoked daily or occasionally in the years 2001 to 2008 . The markers are displayed at the years 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008.

The Y axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of 5 from 0 to 40.

On the X axis from left to right are the years 2001, 2003, 2005, 2007 and 2008.

The top line represents the population aged 18 to 19; the second line down represents men; the third line represents women, and the bottom line represents the population aged 16 to 17 who smoked daily or occasionally.

The percentage of men who smoke daily or occasionally decreased from 28.2% in 2001 to 25.1% in 2003, to 23.7% in 2005; it increased to 24.7% in 2007, and it decreased to 24.4% in 2008.

The percentage of women who smoke daily or occasionally decreased from 23.8% in 2001 to 21.0% in 2003, to 19.9% in 2005, to 19.4% in 2007, to 18.5% in 2008.

The percentage of the population in the age group 16 to 17 who smoke daily or occasionally decreased from 23.9% in 2001 to 20.3% in 2003, to 15.7% in 2005; it increased to 16.8% in 2007, and it decreased to 15.9% in 2008.

The percentage of the population in the age group 18 to 19 who smoke daily or occasionally decreased from 33.8% in 2001 to 29.6% in 2003, to 24.8% in 2005, to 23.8% in 2007 and 22.4% in 2008.
