Family violence refers to violence committed by spouses (legally married, separated, divorced and common-law partners), children, siblings, and extended family. Percentages have been calculated excluding unknown type of weapon. Percentages may not add up due to rounding. Excludes incidents where the sex and/or age of the victim was unknown. Victims aged 90 years and older are excluded from analyses due to instances of miscoding of unknown age within this age category.
