    This vertical bar chart illustrates the percentage of Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal people who had a university degree in 2006. Percentages are given for the 25 to 34 age group and for the 35 to 64 age group.

    The X-axis shows the Aboriginal population and the non-Aboriginal population. Within each population, there are a set of bars for men and a set of bars for women.

    Each set is composed of two vertical bars.

    The first bar represents the percentage of the 25 to 34 age group who had a university degree.
    The second bar represents the percentage of the 35 to 64 age group who had a university degree.

    The Y-axis is measured in percentages and increases by increments of five from 0 to 40.

    16.7% of 25- to 34-year-old Aboriginal men had a university degree.
    9.5% of 35- to 64-year-old Aboriginal men had a university degree.

    24.0% of 25- to 34-year-old Aboriginal women had a university degree.
    10.7% of 35- to 64-year-old Aboriginal women had a university degree.

    29.8% of 25- to 34-year-old non-Aboriginal men had a university degree.
    25.6% of 35- to 64-year-old non-Aboriginal men had a university degree.

    37.9% of 25- to 34-year-old non-Aboriginal women had a university degree.
    22.8% of 35- to 64-year-old non-Aboriginal women had a university degree.
