Thursday, December 15, 2005 Large urban transitOctober 2005 (preliminary)Combined ridership on 10 large urban transit systems in Canada was 2.9 % higher in October than it was for the same month in 2004. Approximately 116.1 million passenger trips were taken on these transit systems in October. These systems account for about 80% of total urban transit in Canada. The trips generated $176.9 million in revenue in October (excluding subsidies), a 7.0% increase over October 2004. Available on CANSIM: table 408-0004.
