The Centre for Population and Social Statistics (CPSS) at Statistics Canada is seeking to obtain input from various stakeholders and experts to inform updates to the 'Ethnic or cultural origin of a person' and 'Religion of a person' standards. The purpose of these engagements is to gather feedback on the definitions of the concepts of interest, the terminology used, and the classification categories and groupings of responses.
As part of this initiative, virtual group discussions will gather feedback and insights to help ensure the continued relevance of the statistics and analytical products we produce about diverse ethnocultural and religious groups in Canada. An e-form is also available for members of the general public to share their feedback and insights.
