Description

Steps of the Analytical Process is for anyone who is new to analysis and wants to gain an understanding of the lifecycle of an analytical project.

This is a three-day workshop (5 - 6 hours per day) that provides an overview of all the steps involved in the analytical process. Through a combination of presentations, group discussions, and hands-on exercises, participants will explore topics such as: developing relevant analytical questions, preparing data for analysis, identifying key messages from results, reviewing analytical work, and disseminating findings to various audiences. Unique considerations related to working with more highly disaggregated data are also discussed.

Note: This is a combination of two previous workshops that have been discontinued: Analysis 101 (H-0456A) and Working With Disaggregated Data for Better Policy Outcomes (H-0717).
