During the second quarter of 2025, Canadian residents took 99.3 million trips within Canada and abroad, up 8.5% from the same quarter in 2024. From April to June 2025, visitors from the United States and overseas countries made 8.0 million trips to Canada, a 3.1% year-over-year decrease.

In September 2025, Canadian residents returned from 2.3 million trips to the United States, representing a 30.9% decrease from the same month in 2024 and accounting for 69.3% of all trips abroad taken by Canadian residents during the month. Meanwhile, US residents took 2.1 million trips to Canada in September 2025, down 2.6% from the same month in 2024 and representing 74.5% of all non-resident trips to Canada in September 2025.
