Workshop – Understanding and Interpreting Data

Description

This is a basic statistical methods course that covers the fundamental aspects of data analysis. The workshop provides an overview of analytical requirements as well as sources and types of data. Some of the analytical techniques that will be covered in this course include cross tabulations, chi-square, t-tests, and some aspects of linear regression. Also covered are various graphing and reporting techniques and tips. This is a practical course that emphasizes the "when-to-use" rather than the "how-to-calculate". Participants will be guided through the analysis and interpretation process with written exercises and examples illustrated primarily in Excel.
