Canadian manufacturers produced 1.2 billion cigarettes in March 2024, down 5.1% from February 2024. Cigarette production was 18.7% lower compared with March 2023.
In March 2024, the total number of cigarettes sold increased 5.1% to 1.1 billion from February 2024. The level of sales was 24.0% lower compared with March 2023.
