Canadian manufacturers produced 1.2 billion cigarettes in April 2024, up 0.6% from March 2024. Cigarette production was 11.6% higher compared with April 2023.
In April 2024, the total number of cigarettes sold increased 19.7% to 1.3 billion from March 2024. The level of sales was 28.0% higher compared with April 2023.
