Canadian manufacturers produced 1.1 billion cigarettes in June 2024, down 6.3% from May 2024. Cigarette production was 0.3% higher compared with June 2023.
In June 2024, the total number of cigarettes sold decreased 1.3% to 1.2 billion from May 2024. The level of sales was 16.8% lower compared with June 2023.
