Canadian manufacturers produced 1.3 billion cigarettes in October 2024, up 12.7% from September 2024. Cigarette production was 15.7% higher compared with October 2023.
In October 2024, the total number of cigarettes sold increased 13.0% to 1.1 billion from September 2024. The level of sales was 9.0% lower compared with October 2023.
