The monthly survey, Sawmills, measures the quantities of lumber produced and shipped by Canadian manufacturers.
Lumber production increased 4.7% from August to 3 951.2 thousand cubic metres in September. Production was down 5.9% from September 2023.
Sawmills shipped 3 929.2 thousand cubic metres of lumber in September, up 2.5% from August and down 1.2% from September 2023.
