… not applicable r revised 1. "Full-time equivalent (FTE) enrolments" represent the number of full-time students enrolled as of September 30 (or as close as possible thereafter) of the school year, plus the sum of part-time enrolments according to the portion of time spent in the classroom and for which students are funded (determined by the province or territory). 2. Figures may not add up to totals because of rounding. Data for adult programs and vocational programs are included in the figures, but are not reported by all provinces and territories. 3. Includes enrolments in all professional and technical training programs offered in public schools operated by school boards or the province, but excludes any enrolments in vocational programs offered at the postsecondary level. 4. Includes enrolments in General Education Development (GED), Adult Basic Education (ABE) and other equivalency programs, but excludes any enrolments in upgrading programs offered at the postsecondary level. 5. Includes enrolments in public and Roman Catholic schools, but excludes those in private schools and publicly funded hospital and provincial schools, care, treatment and correctional facilities. 6. Enrolments in adult learning centres are not included. 7. Beginning with 2002/2003, the regular program counts have been recalculated to include Alberta residents attending Lloydminster schools. The GED enrolments include everyone who wrote a GED exam between July 1st and June 30th. For 2007/2008, enrolments reflect provincially funded schools, which include "associated independent" schools and exclude "historic high schools", "independent" and "First Nations" schools, and postsecondary sites. Enrolments in adult programs are included; for example, adult 12 and GED students. Notes: Due to the nature of the Elementary-Secondary Education Survey (ESES) data collection, these data are updated on an ongoing basis and are therefore subject to further revisions.
