This vertical bar chart illustrates the percentage of Canadians aged 12 or older who were injured by age group and sex in 2009.

The y-axis is measured by percentages and increases by increments of five from 0 to 35.

Along the x-axis are the age groups. From left to right, the age groups are: all ages; 12 to 19; 20 to 34; 35 to 44; 45 to 64; and 65 and older. Each age category shows two vertical bars; one for males and one for females.

Of Canadians all ages, 16.8% of males and 12.6% of females were injured.

Of Canadians aged 12 to 19, 29.4% of males and 23.3% of females were injured.

Of Canadians aged 20 to 34, 21.7% of males and 11.8% of females were injured.

Of Canadians aged 35 to 44, 14.9% of males and 10.9% of females were injured.

Of Canadians aged 45 to 64, 13.0% of males and 11.7% of females were injured.

Of Canadians aged 65 and older, 8.3% of males and 9.8% of females were injured.
