Figure 2.6.6.2 Calgary census metropolitan area using the dissemination area as a building block

Figure 2.6.6.2 is a map of the 2001 census metropolitan area of Calgary showing the impact resulting from using the dissemination area as the building block. This example differs significantly from the Québec case (Figure 2.6.6.1 Québec census metropolitan area using the dissemination area as a building block). A clear pattern is difficult to see and if present is not intuitive and would require further assessment. The dissemination areas satisfying the commuting threshold within the 2001 Calgary census metropolitan area and outside the census metropolitan area are scattered amongst dissemination areas that do not.
