Natural gas sales
Natural gas sales totalled 7 752 million cubic metres in January, down 18.3% from January 2005. Warmer than normal temperatures in January across all regions of the country were the major forces behind the sharp drop in sales. The commercial sector led the way, with a decline of 22.9% followed by the residential sector (-18.8%). Sale volumes in the industrial sector (including direct sales) were down by 15.6%.
