Steel primary forms production for the week ending July 8 totaled 298 171 metric tonnes, down 4.6% from 312 479 tonnes a week earlier and up 18.1% from 252 480 tonnes in the same week of 2005. The year-to-date total as of July 8 was 8 270 991 tonnes, up 0.8% from 8 207 394 tonnes in the same period of 2005. Definitions, data sources and methods: survey number 2131.
