Chart 11.4 is a bar chart showing the annual percentage change in the Consumer Price Index for energy in 34 OECD countries from 2008 to 2009 and from 2009 to 2010.
The change in the index was negative for most countries from 2008 to 2009. However, from 2009 to 2010 the change was positive for most countries.
From 2009 to 2010, Greece had the largest increase, 28.8%, followed by Iceland and Norway, both 15.4%.
The OECD average was 7.9% from 2009 to 2010.
Canada's Consumer Price Index for energy increased 6.6%.
Prices fell in two countries. In the Slovak Republic, prices declined 0.2%, and in the Netherlands, 0.3%.
