This figure show 2 graphs illustrating the confidence bands. The electricity consumption is on the y-axis ranging from 100 to 350 kilowatt-hours and the hours are on the x-axis ranging from 0 to 150. Both graphs overlay the mean observed for the population, the estimated mean and the confidence bands for the electricity consumption. The first graph shows an example where the mean curve falls within the confidence band. The second graph shows an example where the mean observed doesn't fall within the confidence bands for four instants.
