  1. Air passenger traffic at Canadian airports increased 4.4% in 2010. The total number of enplaned and deplaned passengers in Canada was 109 million. Passenger traffic returned to 2008 levels after experiencing a decline in 2009. The 10-year trend for air passenger traffic in Canada is shown in Chart 1.
  2. Passenger traffic in all sectors (domestic, transborder and other international) increased in 2010.
  3. Cargo tonnages loaded and unloaded at Canadian airports increased by 13.0% in 2010.
  4. Canadian airports experienced an increase in the number of flights arriving and departing; flights were up 1.8% in 2010.
