Designed for a broad audience, which includes human resource professionals, researchers, policy makers and policy analysts, educators and students, Perspectives on Labour and Income brings together and analyzes a wide range of labour and income information. If you are interested in labour and income analysis and would like to contribute to Perspectives, see How to submit a manuscript.

Perspectives topics include:

  • youth in the labour market
  • work arrangements
  • pensions and retirement
  • spending and wealth
  • education and training
  • trends in family income

In addition to analytic studies published every month in its online edition, the quarterly print edition of Perspectives also provides updates on popular articles as well as a summary of recent studies of interest from Statistics Canada and other organizations. Each winter print issue contains an index of all published articles.

Perspectives analytic content is illustrated with clearly labelled tables and charts showing the most up-to-date statistics. Description of data sources and statistical methods are also included.

Perspectives on Labour and Income gives insight into the key issues in the Canadian labour market and is one of the few impartial sources of Canadian analysis available.

We encourage readers to inform us about their current research projects, new publications, data sources, and upcoming events relating to labour and income.
