This vertical bar chart compares the annual distribution of C/ME cases by manner of death, Quebec, 2006 to 2008

The values along the vertical axis are expressed as percentages and increase in increments of five from 0% to 45%.

Along the horizontal axis are the different manners of death: Natural; Accident; Suicide; Homicide; Undetermined. Each category shows three vertical bars, one for each year: 2006; 2007; 2008.

Of deaths investigated by the office of the coroner of Quebec, 35.1% were classified as natural in 2006, 38.5% were classified as natural in 2007, 34.9% were classified as natural in 2008.

Of deaths investigated by the office of the coroner of Quebec, 32.9% were classified as accident in 2006, 30.3% were classified as accident in 2007, 31.7% were classified as accident in 2008.

Of deaths investigated by the office of the coroner of Quebec, 27.7% were classified as suicide in 2006, 26.9% were classified as suicide in 2007, 29.1% were classified as suicide in 2008.

Of deaths investigated by the office of the coroner of Quebec, 2.1 % were classified as homicide in 2006, 2.1% were classified as homicide in 2007, 2.2% were classified as homicide in 2008.

Of deaths investigated by the office of the coroner of Quebec, 2.2% were classified as undetermined in 2006, 2.2% were classified as undetermined in 2007, 2.1% were classified as undetermined in 2008.
