The Aboriginal Peoples Survey is a national survey of First Nations people living off reserve, Métis and Inuit living in Canada. It is a thematic survey with a primary focus on education and employment. It will continue to collect important information concerning Aboriginal people such as health, language, housing and mobility.
The APS informs policy and programming activities that are aimed at improving the well-being of Aboriginal peoples and is an important source of information for a variety of stakeholders including Aboriginal organizations, communities, service providers, researchers, governments and the general public.
