March 2012 online edition

The March 2012 online issue of Health Reports, released today, contains two articles.

The first article, "Sexual behaviour and condom use of 15- to 24-year-olds in 2003 and 2009/2010," is based on results of the 2003 and 2009/2010 Canadian Community Health Survey and examines whether the sexual behaviour and condom use of 15- to 24-year-olds has changed since 2003 (the earliest year for which comparable national data are available).

For more information on this article, contact Michelle Rotermann (613-951-3166; michelle.rotermann@statcan.gc.ca), Health Analysis Division.

The second article, "Geozones: An area-based method for analysis of health outcomes," explains the methodology for creating geozones, which are area-based thresholds of population characteristics derived from census data, and which can be used in the analysis of social or economic differences in health and health service utilization.
