Study: 2022 flash estimates of selected services industries

Today, Statistics Canada is publishing a new article entitled "Strong revenue growth for service industries in 2022." According to this study, the resilience of Canadian businesses helped to mitigate the effects of changing monetary and economic conditions to maintain solid revenue growth in service industries in 2022. Tourism-related service industries experienced the strongest rate of growth.

Labour market challenges sustained robust revenue growth in employment services, while rising interest rates slowed growth in architectural services. In general, for most service industries, revenue growth in 2022 was above trends seen before the COVID-19 pandemic.
