Canadian Health Measures Survey: Diabetes among Canadian Adults, 2007 to 2019

A new data table using data from the Canadian Health Measures Survey cycles 1 to 6 (2007 to 2019) is available today. The table includes estimates of the prevalence of diabetes and prediabetes in Canada, as well as diabetes awareness, treatment and control.

Note to readers
For analysis purposes, cycles were combined as follows: 1 (2007-2009) and 2 (2009-2011); 3 (2012-2013) and 4 (2014-2015); and 5 (2016-2017) and 6 (2018-2019). Respondents with incomplete information on HbA1c or those who reported being pregnant were excluded from the analyses. Diabetes type 1 and type 2 were combined for all calculations.
