New data tables from the Labour Force Survey on persons with and without disabilities, 2023
Released: 2025-03-26
New Labour Force Survey data tables on the labour market and employment characteristics of persons with and without disabilities are now available for the years 2022 and 2023.
Table 14-10-0477 provides estimates of key labour market indicators—such as the employment and unemployment rate—at the provincial and national levels by disability status and socio-demographic characteristics. Table 14-10-0478 provides labour market indicators for different disability characteristics such as severity class and type of disability.
Note to readers
The estimates combine monthly labour market information from the Labour Force Survey (LFS) with the Disability Screening Questions (DSQ). The DSQ are collected as a supplement to the LFS among a subset of respondents who are in their last month of participation in the survey. The new tables provide annual estimates that can help track the labour market situation of persons with and without disabilities over time.
