This survey is used to estimate the number of persons missed during the last Census.

Information from the Census Undercoverage Survey is used to calculate accurate population counts, which are used to determine the amount of money transferred from the federal government to your region. Provinces and territories use these funds to help finance many social programs including health care, employment and training, education, public transportation and housing.

Your information may also be used by Statistics Canada for other statistical and research purposes. In addition, information from partially completed or unsaved questionnaires may be retained and used.

      Participants will be asked questions related to addresses where they lived on and around May 11, 2021 as well as information about people living with them.

      Some socio-demographic data are also collected. These data allow for evaluation of census coverage for specific population groups (by age groups, geography, etc.).
