In July, urban transit ridership in Canada reached 125.1 million passenger trips, an increase of more than 14 million from July 2023.
Passenger volumes in July 2024 recovered to nearly 85% of the pre-COVID-19-pandemic ridership in July 2019, a level reached only twice (February and May of 2024) since the onset of the pandemic.
