Black History Month 2025... By the numbers: Black seniors

  • In 2021, seniors (aged 65 years and older) made up 7.4% of the Black populations in Canada. 
  • Seniors were most represented among first-generation Black populations (11.6%) and least represented among second-generation Black populations (0.3%).
