New motor vehicle sales totalled 125,402 units in February 2025, a decrease of 8.1% compared to the year prior. This decrease was driven by a year-over-year decline to units sold in Ontario (-13.0%) and Quebec (-22.5%).
In February, 8,531 zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) were sold in Canada, representing a decline of 41.3% compared to the previous year. ZEVs accounted for 6.8% of new motor vehicle sales, in terms of units sold.
