In 2024, the highest production levels for industrial chemicals were recorded for ethylene (5.4 million tonnes, up 5.1% from 2023), anhydrous ammonia (4.7 million tonnes, down 1.2%) and urea (4.1 million tonnes, down 1.1%).
The production of polyethylene, a synthetic resin, reached 4.1 million tonnes, an increase of 7.8% from 2023.
