Canadian international trade in services, October 2025

Canada's monthly international trade in services surplus widened from $0.4 billion in September to $0.5 billion in October. Overall, imports of services declined 1.2% to $19.6 billion, and exports were down 0.4% to $20.1 billion.

Imports of commercial services fell 1.7% to $11.3 billion in October on declines in financial and non-financial services. Travel services imports were down 1.6% to $4.8 billion on lower spending by Canadian travellers internationally, in both US and non-US destinations. Imports of transportation services rose 1.3% to $3.2 billion, largely due to an increase in services related to the marine transportation of goods.
