Population estimates by marital status, legal marital status, age, and sex for Canada, the provinces, and the territories, as of July 1, 2021, are now available. Revised estimates as of July 1, for the years 2017 to 2020, are also available.
Note to readers
The estimates released today are based on the 2016 Census of Population population counts adjusted for census net undercoverage and incompletely enumerated Indian reserves, to which estimates of population change for the period from May 10, 2016, to the date of the estimates are added.
